  • Planning underway for The Second conference of Caribbean National Trusts

    The second conference of Caribbean National Trusts and Conservation Societies will be held in May 2016 in Port of Spain Trinidad.

    Citizens for Conservation will partner with ICOMOS Trinidad and Tobago and The National Trust of Trinidad and Tobago to provide a diverse and comprehensive conference program which will include papers and presentations from a cross section of Caribbean countries and international guest speakers.

    The focus of the conference (but not exclusively so) is built Heritage.  The conference will include visits to historic sites and local cultural experiences.

    The pressure of urban development and industrialization is affecting us all and we are daily loosing our heritage structures and places.   We hope that this conference will build bridges, establish contacts, unite the Caribbean Disapora so that we learn from each other’s experiences and exchange professional Associations.
