The Prince Claus Fund for Culture and Development announces the appointment of Joumana El Zein Khoury as its new director, starting 1 October 2015. Under the leadership of Mrs El Zein Khoury, the Prince Claus Fund will continue its mission to support excellent partners working in the field of culture and development around the world. Chair of the Board of the Prince Claus Fund Henk Pröpper: “The Prince Claus Fund’s diverse global network is the cornerstone of the Fund. Not only does Joumana have experience fostering and maintaining relationships with partners on an international level, she has extensive knowledge in non-profit management and development. Under her leadership, the Fund will continue to fulfill its unique role in supporting creative expression in areas of the world where it is limited or threatened. As the Prince Claus Fund nears its 20th anniversary next year, the Board welcomes Joumana to the team as we begin this new chapter in the Fund’s history.” Short CV Joumana El Zein Khoury Joumana El Zein Khoury (1975) has over 10 years of experience in international cultural exchange and programmes. She most recently served as director of the Lutfia Rabbani Foundation for Euro-Arab exchange. Her previous work experience includes positions with the Prince Claus Fund, the Arab Image Foundation/Baalbeck Festival, and consultancy for the Ford Foundation, the European Cultural Foundation, Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA), and Open Society Initiative (OSI). Of Lebanese origin, Joumana El Zein Khoury has lived and studied internationally. She obtained an MA in Arts Administration from Columbia University, NYC, a BA in Arts Management from EAC Group, Paris and studied law at Paris XI Sceaux.
