    Dates: 18/07/2019 – 31/07/2019

The working holiday: You will be helping to restore a historic house in Jiu Long village, a traditional rural settlement completely isolated from urbanization. Jiu Long is located in the Wuyi mountain range, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999. The mountains have a long history of tea cultivation – many oolong and black teas are produced here. In your free time, you will be able to hike in the local area, fish in the lake and visit nearby monument sites.

Nearest transport hub: Gutian Bei train station, which is a four hour journey from Shanghai. You will be met here on the first day of the holiday.

Accommodation: In a local hostel, staying in shared rooms of 4 people.

    Price: 160 €

These working holidays are organised in conjunction with Ruan Yisan Heritage Foundation (RYHF), a non-governmental, not for profit organisation created in 2006 to support and promote urban heritage conservation in China. This is the ninth year that RYHF have organised working holidays which successfully bring together Chinese and international participants.
