The Global Ecovillage Network (GEN) together with Open Team, the Nordic Folkecenter, International National Trusts Organisation, and Centre for Alternative Technology, is hosting a Symposium on the Power of Community-led Action for Carbon Drawdown. This will be an interactive space for participants to learn from one another and share ideas. We invite interested and passionate individuals to discuss and design community-led solutions for drawdown in an interactive and collaborative way.

This side event will show how the National Trust and other organisations in the UK and elsewhere are mitigating  and adapting to the worst effects through seeking to be more energy efficient and finding innovative solutions or technologies for generating renewable energy and managing the environmental impacts of climate change.

It will also show how INTO member organisations and others, through their education programmes for visitors to heritage sites, are raising awareness of the risks and impacts of climate change and getting communities and individuals involved.
